4 - 5 minutes
Ingredients:
Premium black tea
Origin:
Sri Lanka

A long-time favorite, this delicious broken orange pekoe BOP grade black tea from the Pettiagalla Tea Estate in Sri Lanka is perfect for all-day sipping. We sell a lot of it to tearooms across America.  It makes a good base for blending as well. (Ceylon is the fomer name for Sri Lanka.)

Have you wondered why Orange Pekoe Grade tea does not taste like oranges?

Carmel Goodness...

I didn't realize how delicious this tea is until I tried another brand. Given that you steep it adequately it has a rich carmel flavor that is very delicious. Its one of my favorite teas and everyone that has sampled it likes it equally well. I steep it at 209 degrees for about 6 mins or until the color is a deep redish brown anything less does not bring out the fullness of the carmel notes.

Ceylon Still Delivers

Great taste after sterling in just below boiling water for 3 mins. A few stems, but that's tolerable. Ceylon/Sri Lanka has historically produced great teas, and I'm not disappointed in this estates product. Altitude harvest and season(flush) info would be well received.

Love it! Great mouth feel

Just got back from a trip from Sri Lanka and picked this up to have at work to remind me of the trip. Love it! Great mouth feel, color, and taste.

Excellent Ceylon

I have enjoyed the Pettigalla BOP for years as a smooth yet bold tasting tea to start the day, and this OP from ElmwoodInn retains the malty flavor of the estate while offering a smoother taste. A worthwhile upgrade for a few dollars more.
